A unique project, sponsored by the Briggs and Stratton Corp. (BASCO) and the Midwest Energy Research Coalition (M-WERC), demonstrated that we could map the entire die casting process based on a new cooperative research model. This project, already in Phase II, targeted new reduced order modeling methods of the optimization of the combined shot sleeve and die as a major technology improvement area. The outcomes of this project have implications for new design software, production optimization and the development of new tooling and principal alloy materials.
Join us to learn more about the BASCO project and complimentary tracks within the die cast process at this interactive advanced manufacturing research workshop. This event is complimentary, and lunches and snacks are included.
