Building equitable clean energy solutions together

Unlocking the potential of energy innovation with the power of partnership

The University of Wisconsin–Madison’s Clean Energy Community Initiative (CECI) is a collaboration of various Wisconsin institutes and organizations, led by the Grainger Institute for Engineering. We focus on delivering next-generation energy and workforce development solutions to the communities ready to lead.

In partnership with our collaborators, we harness our collective strengths, expertise, and resources to promote energy independence, lead the Midwest in the transition to clean energy, and enhance local economies through accessible clean energy career pathways. Together, we are creating endless possibilities for a better, brighter tomorrow.
