Accelerating Wisconsin's clean energy transition
Together with a growing network of representative clean energy partners, the College of Engineering, Department of Life Sciences Communication, and the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin–Madison are shaking up the status quo with the Clean Energy Community Initiative’s statewide, community-first approach to accelerating Wisconsin’s clean energy transition. Community and clean energy visionaries alike have united across sectors and borders to share in the responsibility, pool resources, and find solutions to meet local clean energy goals.
The Wisconsin-wide Clean Energy Community Initiative will bolster local clean energy plans, programs, and development with:
- a vision for the future determined by the communities in which clean energy solutions will be built
- a portfolio of cutting-edge research and technologies
- knowledgeable and practiced policy, entrepreneurship, and investment professionals
- industry, utility, and government partners
